No, it's not a fleet of alien spacecraft. Nor is it a disintegrating comet, although the resemblance to Shoemaker-Levy 9 is striking. What could it be? Make your best guess.
What you just saw was sunlight glinting off a line of ten geosynchronous satellites stretched over Rigikulm, Switzerland, on March 5th. One by one, the illuminated satellites flare and then subside as they enter the shadow of our planet explains Roland Stalder .
But look closer, its a time lapse video, lights are seen heading for the line of satellites, some white, some red, one of the red ones, I slowed the movie down, at 2:secs a red light appears to actually change direction from a 45:deg angle to a 60:deg angle and as the light leaves the screen there is an obvious explosion as the whole sky flashes from yellow to red.
I have no explanation as to what this phenomena is, except the lights shooting towards the satellites are not airplanes because they do not change direction like this and they don't explode turning the whole sky red, see for yourself!
You can see a better version here
See above changing direction from 45:deg to 60:deg.
Shooting high!
It leaves the screen and "BOOM" The sky explodes red!
Here is a poor quality Youtube video I made

Being a time lapse video, if there are light changes near the camera they would appear as flashes. Like headlights or someone turning on a porch light.
ReplyDeleteNothing sinister here, just a time lapse video made with photos shot with very slow shutter speed. and someone with a wild imagination.
Thank you
ReplyDeleteStill doesn't explain the whole sky flashing red
ReplyDeleteI agree Gary!
