Strange sounds heard from the sky in North Battleford

Some say noise was too loud to be any type of machinery in area

It's a strange sound apparently coming from the sky that has people talking in small town Alberta and Manitoba and now in North Battleford.

That sound was recorded Sunday night by Dawson Penner. She says it was too loud to be machinery and people heard it right across town.

“It was pretty spooky,” said Penner.

She says a lot of people assume it was a snow plough, but she insists those wouldn't be loud enough to hear across such distances.

Penner says people even made noise complaints to police. But exactly what was making the noise is still hasn't been determined.
